The Safwa Rugby Association of Ait Melloul's history
L’association safwa de rugby Ait Melloul «ASRAM» représente la région d’ AGADIR au MAROC au niveau National par la présence de ses équipes séniors masculines et féminines à 7 et à XV en deuxième division nationales ainsi que par la participation de son équipe à XV hommes à la coupe du Trône. Elle est née en 2017 à Ait Melloul, de l’ambition d’un groupe de professeurs d’EPS 2e cycles, la plupart ayant joué au rugby au lycée, l’université ou en club.
A.S.R.A.M has thus set up a rugby school which provides regular sports training to young people in the Ait Melloul Agadir region (SENIORS, JUNIORS, CADETS, MINIMES, BENJAMINS and CHICKS), while promoting the development of children.
Indeed, ASRAM's ambition is to pass on the values of rugby to young people: respect for the rules, solidarity, self-transcendence, team spirit, personal commitment...so many values that allow these young people to better integrate into their daily environment.

The SPORT :

L’école de Rugby de l’ASRAM délivre tout au long de l’année des entrainements sportifs pour garçons et filles issus de la région d’Agadir, encadrés par des bénévoles. Les entrainements et matchs à domicile ont lieu au stade Municipale d’Ait Melloul.
Composition of the teams
- 42 joueurs dans l’équipe SENIOR (hommes)
- 32 joueurs dans l’équipe SENIOR (femmes)
- 34 junior players (men)
- 30 junior players (women)
- 46 minimal players (boys and girls)
- 48 Benjamins/Chick (boys and girls)
- 66 Chicks (boys and girls)
Senior training is on Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on a field with artificial turf made available by the municipality.
Pour les autres catégories c’est de 10h à 12h tous les jours du mardi au dimanche.

sustain ASRAM's actions.
L’ASRAM s’attache à former des éducateurs sportifs locaux, notamment par le rugby. Ces jeunes sont tout particulièrement impliqués dans les différentes actions de l’ ASRAM : encadrement sportif des enfants, participations et véritable implication dans l’évolution de l’ ASRAM et dans les réunions de bureau.
FREE SCHOOL SUPPORT:
Les jeunes éducateurs sportifs organisent également un soutien scolaire pour les enfants du quartier de Azrou Ait Melloul Agadir Maroc dans un local aménagé à cet effet par l’ASSOCIATION FRANCAISE TESSY BZH qui prend en charge l’éducation extra-scolaire, depuis deux ans, de 8 enfants, dont 4 filles, de la sixième jusqu’à l’obtention du baccalauréat.
Tutoring takes place every evening except Friday from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Association loi 1901 créée en janvier 2019 en France, présidée par NICOLAS DELMOULY « La plus grosse action que nous avons effectuée avec cette association est le financement (grâce à des dons ) de la distribution de paniers alimentaires à Azrou pendant le premier confinement ayant bénéficié à plus de 2000 personnes .

Rugby in Morocco and the position of ASRAM

In a country where the national football team recently touched the hearts of the whole world during the last World Cup, in Morocco, rugby and its values of respect for discipline, solidarity, surpassing oneself, team's spirit and personal commitment advances, with increasingly professional clubs, a level of play that increases each year as much as the number of players and clubs created.
Our young rugby club, which clearly battles like David against Goliath in each of its matches because of its low means, sees all its categories of players perform:
-The men's and women's teams of 7, the only teams representing southern Morocco at the national level, recently played their first participation in the playoff for the rise in the division of excellence: the Moroccan rugby league 1.
-The Juniors, Cadets and Minimes are ranked first and second at the regional level and at the inter college and national high school tournament, the school in the suburb of Agadir Ait Melloul finished 2nd in 2023.
Our young club with an operating budget of only €400 per month for all of its teams, who train with rudimentary equipment and only when they can on land that does not belong to us, competes in men's competitions and women's of 7, and in the 15 championship with its newly created men's team, against teams that have existed for several decades, with very high annual budgets of several hundreds of thousands euros and who have their own land, their own bus, their own weight room, and much more professional training equipment than ours, which won its participation in the national championships with makeshift outfits, with jersey numbers taped on the back.
